RULES FOR HOLLYBROOK DRESSAGE LEAGUE – 2019

General
Each of the competitions (including the Final) is a separate competition on the day and rosettes will be awarded accordingly.
Dates for the four competitions have already been published and entries should be made by the Tuesday preceeding each competition.
Please note that there is a combined Young Horse/Green Horse class which will be run in accordance with the AIRC rules relating to these two categories with rosettes awarded for each section.
Passports will be required to prove eligibility for the Young Horse Class (confined to 4/5 year olds in their first year of competition)

League Points
Placing Points are awarded to no more than the top 75% using the following scoring system:

  • 1st  12 points
  • 2nd 10 points
  • 3rd  8 points
  • 4th  6 points
  • 5th  4 points
  • 6th  2 points

Classes with more than 13 competitors:

  • 1st  20 points
  • 2nd 18 points
  • 3rd 16 points
  • 4th 14 points
  • 5th 12 points
  • 6th 10 points
  • 7th  8 points
  • 8th  6 points
  • 9th  4 points
  • 10th 2 points

In the case of classes with less than 5 people competing on the day, points will be allocated to the top 2 places only –

  • 1st   12 points
  • 2nd  10 points

In order to be included in the league placings, participation in the final is mandatory.

In the event of a tie for placings, the result will be decided on the basis of competitor’s best placing in the Final.

Team Competition
Teams to be nominated by 6 October (i.e. first competition) and will consist of 4 riders from the graded classes (not more than 2 from any 1 grade). The scoring for this competition will be done on the basis of team members’ percentages, with the best 3 scores each week being counted.

Brian Bloomer Memorial
This award will be given to the competitor who scores the highest cumulative percentage, with the best 3 results out of the 4 competitions counting.

Results
Full results and league points will be published on the web site (www.hollybrookridingclub.ie) after each competition.
